At the start of the transfer window, West Ham were interested in signing Salernitana star forward Boulaye Dia as a new striker. Although West Ham have signed Niclas Fullkrug as a new centre forward, the club still wants to bring in a new striker.

Also, recent reports have revealed that English striker Danny Ings can leave West Ham this summer. Hence, the Hammers are considering signing a new forward to bolster their attacking options. Playing for Salernitana, Boulaye Dia accumulated an impressive 29 goal contributions in 52 matches, playing a crucial role in helping Salernitana avoid relegation in the 2022/23 season.

Boulaye Dia ticks all the boxes for West Ham. His exceptional talent, versatility, and alignment with Julen Lopetegui' tactical vision make him the ideal candidate to prioritise over other forwards this summer. By securing Dia, West Ham could significantly bolster their squad and perform well in the Premier League.

Recently, transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano has reported that West Ham transfer target Boulaye Dia has joined Lazio in this transfer window. Speaking on this transfer move, Fabrizio Romano said,

"Boulaye Dia will join Lazio as deal has been agreed also on player side with the striker.

However, Serie A club Lazio have signed Boulaye Dia as their new number nine following star forward Ciro Immobile's move to Besiktas in this transfer window. Thus, West Ham need to consider other young forwards.

Recently, the Hammers are also interested in signing Roma centre forward Tammy Abraham. Now it remains to be seen if West Ham sign the former Chelsea forward in this summer transfer window.
