West Ham–Wolves Premier League player ratings
Below, we're rating the West Ham players on a scale of 1 to 10.
Goalkeeper and defenders
Mads Hermanson (GK): 6
Came close to conceding when Wolves hit the post. However, apart from that, Mads Hermanson was relatively untested.
Kyle Walker-Peters (RB): 7
Kyle Walker-Peters made some crucial clearances.
Dinos Mavropanos (CB): 8
The center-back rose like a salmon to head the Hammers into the lead. Then volleyed in to secure the Hammers' lead.
Axel Disasi (CB): 6
Whilst Dinos Mavropanos grabbed the headlines, Axel Disasi was a great center-back partner to him.
El Hadj Malik Diouf (LB): 6
Solid performance from El Hadj Malik Diouf, who would have wanted to contribute more to the attack in such a convincing win.
Midfielders
Jarrod Bowen (RM): 8
The West Ham captain put in a great cross to set up Mavropanos' first goal. Jarrod Bowen was unlucky not to score as he hit the woodwork. He was always direct and assisted Taty Castellanos' second goal of the night.
Mateus Fernandes (CM): 7
Mateus Fernandes got stuck in and made some great challenges. Linked up well with his teammates.
Tomas Soucek (CM): 6
Tomas Soucek had to be more disciplined playing alongside Fernandes in midfield.
Crysencio Summerville (LM): 7
Crysencio Summerville returned from injury and was always getting into dangerous areas. However, he did miss a good chance early on. He also tried an ambitious lob that went wide.
Forwards
Pablo (SS): 7
Pablo was playing as the second striker but was still able to get efforts on goal. He did a cheeky flick to set up Taty Castellanos with West Ham's second goal of the night.
Taty Castellanos (CF): 8
The Argentine was leading the line, but often dropped back to play some excellent through balls. He and Pablo were interchanging and linked up well for Castellanos' first goal. He soon had a brace when slotting in from the edge of the box.
