West Ham United are all but relegated from the Premier League following their 1-0 loss to Arsenal in the Premier League. Tottenham Hotspur can now extend their lead over the Hammers when they play Leeds United, who are now mathematically safe, tomorrow night.

It was a controversial afternoon at the London Stadium as Callum Wilson's late goal was controversially disallowed by VAR. The Hammers had got results to help stop Arsenal winning the league in the last three seasons, but it was not to be on this occasion.

West Ham–Arsenal Premier League player ratings

Below, we're rating the West Ham players on a scale of 1 to 10.

Goalkeeper and defenders

Mads Hermanson (GK): 5

Made some good saves and put some effective long balls forward. However, he was unsighted when Leandro Trossard scored.

Jean-Clair Todibo (CB): 5

Came back into the side as part of a back three, but Jean-Clair Todibo did not grasp this opportunity to impress.

Dinos Mavropanos (CB): 6

Dinos Mavropanos cleared the ball many times and made some vital interceptions. He was also unfortunate that Declan Rice was holding him back when West Ham's disallowed goal was scored.

Axel Disasi (CB): 5

Allowed Martin Odegaard to go past him too easily before the Arsenal player set up Trossard.

Midfielders

Aaron Wan-Bissaka (RM): 6

Playing in a more advanced role, Aaron Wan-Bissaka put some good crosses into the box.

Mateus Fernandes (CM): 5

Mateus Fernandes has been one of West Ham's standout performers this season. However, he missed a very good chance to give the Hammers the lead.

Tomas Soucek (CM): 5

Average performance from Tomas Soucek.

El Hadj Malik Diouf (LB): 5

As always, El Hadj Malik Diouf is far better in attacking areas than defensive ones.

Forwards

Jarrod Bowen (CAM): 6

Playing in a more central role, the West Ham captain had to be disciplined. He put the cross in from a set-piece that Wilson scored from.

Crysencio Summerville (CAM): 5

Crysencio Summerville did little of note.

Taty Castellanos (CF): 6

Taty Castellanos dropped back well to help his teammates defend. He had a great effort that was saved by David Raya. Unfortunately, his replacement, Pablo, was the one who was deemed to foul Raya when Wilson scored.

Substitutes

  • Pablo, 5/10
  • Callum Wilson, 6/10
