West Ham interested in signing Atletico Madrid forward

Currently, West Ham have three centre forwards in their squad. While new signing Niclas Fullkrug will be the starting centre forward for the Hammers, Michail Antonio and Danny Ings can leave West Ham this summer.

Recently, it was reported that West Ham can sell English forward Danny Ings in this transfer window. Therefore, West Ham are considering signing a new striker as well. Thus, the Hammers can sign former Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham from Roma this summer.

West Ham interested in signing Atletico Madrid forward

Now, West Ham are said to be interested in a La Liga striker as well. Recently, Atletico Madrid forward Samu Omorodion was very close to joining Chelsea. Transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano reported that contractual issues led Omorodion to not join Chelsea this summer.

Also, Atletico Madrid have signed Manchester City forward Julian Alvarez and Villarreal star Alexander Sorloth this summer. Thus, Omorodion will get less playing time at Atletico Madrid this season. Hence, Omorodion will want to join another club this summer.

At the start of this transfer window, West Ham were interested in signing Omorodion. Playing for Alaves last season, Samu Omorodion's La Liga performances showcase his potential as a valuable asset for West Ham. The 20-year-old scored nine goals in 35 appeareances last season. This suggests that Omorodion could bring more to the table as both a goal scorer and a playmaker, making him an appealing option for the Hammers.
