Julen Lopetegui provided an update on West Ham's transfer window

West Ham took their first win of the new Premier League season, winning 2-0 in the away fixture against Crystal Palace. Meanwhile, with only one week remaining in the summer transfer window, West Ham are still looking to sign a few players to bolster their squad. However, the priority is to sell a few players first before making further additions in the squad.

The Hammers have made eight signings this summer, with players like Max Kilman and Guido Rodriguez becoming key players in Julen Lopetegui's lineup. Jean-Clair Todibo and Aaron Wan-Bissaka have impressed coming as a second half substitute and will quickly come into the starting lineup as well. Now, manager Julen Lopetegui has revealed West Ham's transfer plans in this transfer window.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the 2-0 win over Crystal Palace, Lopetegui highlighted that the club is trying to sign a few players to assemble a quality squad.

"Let’s see what will happen. When the market is open, anything can happen. The club are working about and maybe we can have any update about new players or other players."

Recently, transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano reported that Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Carlos Soler prefers to join West Ham over other clubs in this transfer window. Thus, he can be a new signing and the Hammers should look to bring in an another left back to provide more competition and depth to the defence. Also, if West Ham can sell a few forwards such as Danny Ings, Maxwel Cornet and Michail Antonio, a new striker can also join the Hammers in this transfer window.
