Fabrizio Romano reveals massive update on Carlos Soler

Recently, West Ham are trying to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Carlos Soler. A few days ago, L'Equipe revealed that negotiations are advancing well between West Ham and Paris Saint-Germain and the clubs are highly likely to reach an agreement on the transfer fee as well. Soler is a priority signing for West Ham as he brings calm and composure to the midfield with his great passing.

Currently, the Hammers have James Ward-Prowse as the only box-to-box midfielder in their squad. However, James Ward-Prowse struggles to create big chances from the build up play despite being one of the best set piece specialists in the Premier League. Further, Soler can defend as well and helps in winning possession in the match.

Now, transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano has provided a major update on Soler, saying that he prefers to join West Ham over other clubs in this transfer window.

"Carlos Soler’s priority is West Ham as director Tim Steidten and manager Lopetegui are pushing a lot.

Negotiations already ongoing with PSG in order to get the deal done, but WHUFC also need to complete outgoings.

But before signing Soler, West Ham are focusing on selling a few players in this transfer window. Several players like Danny Ings, Maxwel Cornet and Nayef Aguerd can still leave the club with only one week remaining in the summer transfer window. If West Ham sign Soler, they will complete a well balanced squad capable of achieving a top six finish in the Premier League.
