After signing Jean-Clair Todibo as the new centre back, West Ham need to sign one more player to improve their squad. The Hammers need to bring in a new right back this summer. For the right back position, West Ham consider Manchester United's Aaron Wan-Bissaka as the preferred transfer target.
Currently, West Ham are negotiating with Manchester United to find an agreement on the transfer fee. Wan-Bissaka has already agreed personal terms with West Ham and is said to be open to a move to the London Stadium. Recently, Inter Milan have also expressed their interest in Wan-Bissaka and are even willing to do a swap deal with Manchester United involving Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Denzel Dumfries.
Fabrizio Romano update provides massive boost for West Ham
However, Fabrizio Romano has offered a new update on Wan-Bissaka's situation. Romano said,
"West Ham hope to complete Aaron Wan-Bissaka deal in the next days as they are now busy to sign all documents for Todibo.Fabrizio Romano
Mazraoui, waiting for Man United as soon as AWB leaves."
This is a huge boost for West Ham who are very close to bring in a new right back by signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka. After almost two weeks trying to negotiate with Manchester United, West Ham finally look set to sign a new fullback.
The English right back is one of the best defensive fullbacks in the Premier League. Although he is a second choice right back at Manchester United after Diogo Dalot, the 26-years-old is a brilliant defender with a great recovery pace which will improve the West Ham defence that conceded 74 goals last season.
Now, the defence looks much better with the signing of Max Kilman and Jean-Clair Todibo alongside Wan-Bissaka. With this, West Ham have assembled a quality squad and look forward to the upcoming season.
