West Ham are currently involved in negotiations with Manchester United for Aaron Wan-Bissaka. However, the negotiations are yet to find an agreement between the clubs. This has led speculations that the Wan-Bissaka transfer to West Ham may not happen this summer.
In the recent few seasons, West Ham tried to sign Jesse Lingard from Manchester United permanently after his impressive loan spell at the London Stadium towards the second half of the 2020/21 season. But both the clubs couldn't find an agreement for the transfer to happen despite being negotiating for weeks.
Even last year, West Ham had their £30 million bid for Harry Maguire accepted by Manchester United but the transfer couldn't happen as Maguire and Manchester United didn't agree on the defender's transfer to go through and West Ham couldn't sign Maguire despite agreeing a transfer fee with United.
West Ham receive massive boost in signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka
Thus, it is speculated to be Wan-Bissaka's situation as well. But, in a massive boost for West Ham, The Athletic have claimed that both Manchester United and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are finalizing the rightback's move to West Ham. The report claims that West Ham may officially sign the player in a few days.
This comes as a positive update for West Ham who are in a huge need of defensive reinforcements. The preseason games against Wolves and Crystal Palace have highlighted the need for a new right back as well as a new centre back.
Further, West Ham will want to finalize Aaron Wan-Bissaka's signing quickly with a view to getting him integrated into Julen Lopetegui's new tactical setup before facing Aston Villa in the Premier League opener at the London Stadium.
