In this transfer window, West Ham have brought in several new players to bolster their squad. However, in terms of outgoings, the Hammers haven't sold any star players this summer. This is seen as a huge positive for West Ham who have assembled a quality squad for the 2024/25 season.

However, there are still ten days remaining in the summer transfer window. Hence, Julen Lopetegui's side may sell a star player if a massive transfer offer arrives from a top European club. That can be the case with defensive midfielder Edson Alvarez, who is attracting a lot of interest from big European teams, according to Fabrizio Romano.

"Edson Alvarez, expected to be back in the squad for West Ham against Crystal Palace if all goes to plan.

There are still clubs interested in Alvarez for final days of transfer window but no formal bids so far."

There was speculation about Alvarez leaving West Ham this summer due to the fact that the Hammers aren't playing European football this season. Further, West Ham signed another defensive midfielder Guido Rodriguez on a free transfer as well. However after joining West Ham, Rodriguez confirmed that Alvarez will stay at the London Stadium this season.

Currently, no club has submitted an official bid to sign Alvarez, which is great for West Ham as they need their star players to perform well this season. Meanwhile, Alvarez is close to full fitness and can play in the next Premier League match against Crystal Palace. Julen Lopetegui's side will want to take a win in the second match after the 2-1 defeat against Aston Villa in the first Premier League match.
