Recently, manager Julen Lopetegui revealed that West Ham have set their sights on the free transfers market, meaning that the Hammers can make some more additions to the nine new signings they made in this summer transfer window. While an another centre back option is needed to provide more quality and squad depth to the defence, the front three is star studded with a lot of competition and quality in the attack. Therefore, one West Ham star can still leave the London Stadium in the next two weeks as other transfer windows across Europe are still open in this month.

The player is experienced English forward Danny Ings who has featured for several Premier League teams like Burnley, Liverpool, Southampton, Aston Villa and West Ham in his career. While he has thrived as a centre forward at Southampton and Burnley, this is not the same situation with his stay at West Ham. Ings joined the Hammers from Aston Villa for a transfer fee of £15 million midway through the 2022/23 season when West Ham were struggling in the Premier League.

Ings was brought in to score more goals for West Ham, who were trying to finish mid table after an underwhelming start to their Premier League campaign that season. However, Ings has made around fifty appearances for West Ham, and has scored only four goals and provided two assists. Thus, the centre forward has struggled with form and fitness at the London Stadium and is now the third choice centre forward in Julen Lopetegui's side.

Thus, it is highly likely that Ings wouldn't get much playing time this season and even if he departs the club, the Hammers have captain Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus, who can play as the centre forward as well. Therefore, West Ham have considered to offload Danny Ings this summer as he will be available on a free transfer next season. The transfer market in Portugal and Netherlands will remain open for this week and in Turkey, the transfer window remains open for two weeks, these leagues have top teams who can consider signing Ings to bolster their squad.
