Following West Ham United's relegation, there is expected to be a mass exodus of players. Pablo could be on his way to Serie A side Lazio.

The Italian outlet Il Messaggero has revealed that the agent Jorge Mendes has proposed a move to Lazio for him.

Pablo arrived at West Ham in January from the Portuguese side Gil Vicente. However, he was unable to make the impact he wanted at the London Stadium.

In 17 games for West Ham, Pablo failed to score and only made one assist. The goal he assisted was Taty Castellanos' in a 4-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers. Castellanos joined West Ham from Lazio at the same time as Pablo. The Argentine impressed, scoring seven goals in 22 matches for the Hammers.

Castellanos will be in demand this summer and has already been linked with Everton. It is unlikely that another Premier League club will be interested in Pablo. Therefore, a move to Lazio could be a very good chance for him.

It remains to be seen who will be leading the line for West Ham next season, especially if Pablo and Castellanos depart. Callum Wilson is also out of contract this summer. They have been linked with Pape Moussa Fall, who has been on loan at the Belgian side RAAL La Louvière from Metz.

Perhaps one of the reasons that Pablo struggled at West Ham was that he was used as a second striker rather than his favored center-forward position. However, due to the form of Castellanos, the Argentine had to lead the line.

Lazio are set to appoint Gennaro Gattuso as their next manager. He, along with Pablo, is represented by Mendes' GestiFute agency. The Serie A side needs a new center-forward. They have only had Boulaye Dia on loan from Salernitana, who scored just one Serie A goal last season. Their other striker, Petar Ratkov, made just eight appearances without scoring after joining them from Red Bull Salzburg in January.

With their strikers not firing, Lazio finished ninth in Serie A last season. It may not have worked out for him in the Premier League, but Pablo could find his level in Italian soccer. The team from Rome's capital will want to get back to competing in Europe.
