Jarrod Bowen will have options this summer

There is a fear amongst West Ham United fans that their captain, Jarrod Bowen, will leave the club this summer.

With West Ham United in danger of relegation, many of the club's top players are being linked with moves away from the club. Even Jarrod Bowen reportedly will have options this summer.

Bowen has become Mr. West Ham since Mark Noble retired. However, he is not from East London like Noble is. Bowen married into the West Ham family as he is the husband of Dani Dyer, who, of course, has the famous Hammers fan father, Danny.

The current West Ham captain is from Hereford and has also managed to earn 22 England caps. Noble never got the call-up for the Three Lions at the senior level. Therefore, when West Ham went down in 2011, it was not as if he was going to lose his place in the national team.

Bowen's situation is more like Scott Parker's when he left for Tottenham Hotspur after the Hammers were relegated 15 years ago. Parker was an established England player then, and with Euro 2012 just around the corner needed to be playing in the Premier League.

Who will be in for Jarrod Bowen this summer?

The Daily Mail has reported that "Liverpool are long-standing admirers and strong contenders as they search for wingers and a replacement for Mo Salah. Newcastle are also interested as they look to reinforce their attacking options as Eddie Howe prepares to sell Anthony Gordon. And so is Everton boss David Moyes who was in his second spell as West Ham boss when they signed Bowen from Hull City for £22million in 2020."

There will be huge pressure on Bowen to perform at Liverpool if he is to be Salah's successor. Many top players have struggled at Anfield before returning to or transferring to West Ham. This includes the likes of Julian Dicks, Joe Cole, Stewart Downing, and Andy Carroll.

Newcastle could be a good fit for Bowen as a replacement for Gordon, who has been heavily linked with Bayern Munich. However, the Magpies are having a poor season, and Howe's future at the club is uncertain.

Moyes knows how to get the best out of Bowen. It was under Moyes that Bowen etched his name into West Ham history by scoring the winning goal in the Europa Conference League final. However, the Toffees look set to miss out on European qualification this season. West Ham have lost top players to Everton in the past; Tony Cottee and Slaven Bilic both made the move. Bowen could be the next one to make that move.
