It has recently been revealed that Paris Saint-Germain had made contact with West Ham United regarding Crysencio Summerville. Now, another team that won a European trophy could also be in for the Dutchman, Aston Villa.

Football Insider has reported that "(Emiliano) Buendia will be placed on the transfer list at Villa Park if the forward can't agree to fresh terms in Birmingham and West Ham United's Crysencio Summerville is being eyed as a replacement."

PSG are also interested in Mateus Fernandes, but he is now being heavily linked with Manchester United.

Villa won the Europa League last season and finished fifth in the Premier League. This means that they will be playing in the Champions League in the next campaign. PSG won European soccer's premier competition by defeating Arsenal in the final.

Would PSG or Villa be a better fit for Summerville?

Joining Villa would ensure that Summerville will continue to play in the Premier League. However, Villa are not expected to challenge for the title. If he were to join PSG, then the club is almost nailed on to win Ligue 1.

Summerville will be expected to start on the left wing for Villa. Buendia could be on his way to Galatasaray. Jadon Sancho's loan at the club is expiring, and his parent club, Manchester United, will also release him. Villa also has Lewis Dobbin, who impressed on loan in the Championship with Preston North End last season.

Game time at PSG could be limited, as Summerville would be competing with the likes of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Bradley Barcola for a starting place. Summerville is now a Netherlands international who is at the World Cup. He will need to play regularly if he is to keep his place in Ronald Koeman's side.

There are also other teams interested in Summerville. He has also been linked with AC Milan, AS Roma, and Olympique Marseille, while there has been interest from Tottenham Hotspur in the past. His Dutch teammate and former Villa player, Donyell Marlen, is trying to get Summerville to join Roma.
