It looks like West Ham United has finally found a quality striker in Taty Castellanos. The Argentine has already scored three goals in 10 games for the Hammers since joining them from Lazio in January.

All good teams need multiple top players in each position, so the Hammers are already being linked with other strikers. The Spanish outlet, AS, has reported that (translated from Spanish), "several clubs are already showing interest in (Santiago) Giménez. Among them are Sunderland and West Ham... both willing to offer Milan a favorable deal for the striker. Milan is expected to seek around €22 million ($25 million) for Giménez."

Gimenez has been out of action for AC Milan since last October due to injuries. He played in Milan's first nine Serie A games without scoring, but did make an assist in a 2-1 win over Fiorentina. The Mexican international had a good record in the Eredivisie with Feyenoord, but has yet to reach those heights with Milan.

Would Santiago Gimenez be a good fit for West Ham?

It could be that there will be two arrivals from Milan to West Ham this summer. Niclas Fullkrug has only scored once in 11 games for the Serie A side since joining them on loan from the Hammers. Milan may not take up their option to buy him, so he could be set to return to the London Stadium.

When it comes to West Ham's other striking options, it would appear that Callum Wilson would depart the club when his contract expires at the end of the campaign. The jury is still out on Pablo, who played just five times in the Premier League before getting injured.

Gimenez could be a good option for the Hammers if they survive in the Premier League. However, his injury problems will be a worry for West Ham fans who have seen many top strikers spend too much time on the treatment tables.

The Mexican would be reluctant to join West Ham if they are in the Championship next season. He is also being linked with Sunderland, who would appear to be a more attractive destination given their promising season back in English soccer's top flight.
