A late Callum Wilson goal ensured that West Ham United stayed out of the bottom three in the Premier League. Wilson has struck some important goals recently and is becoming a surprise hero in West Ham's fight to avoid the drop.

West Ham–Everton Premier League player ratings

Below, we're rating the West Ham players on a scale of 1 to 10.

Goalkeeper and defenders

Mads Hermanson (GK): 6

Composed at the back and distributed the ball well. There was not much he could have done about Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall's powerful strike.

Kyle Walker-Peters (RB): 6

Kyle Walker-Peters is becoming more confident when it comes to pushing up and contributing to West Ham's attacks. He almost played as a center-forward at times.

Dinos Mavropanos (CB): 6

Whilst not as spectacular as he has been in recent games, Dinos Mavropanos was solid.

Axel Disasi (CB): 6

Axel Disasi was on hand to make some important clearances. However, he turned his back when Dewsbury-Hall got his equaliser.

El Hadj Malik Diouf (LB): 7

As always, El Hadj Malik Diouf was very good on the ball. He linked up well with Crysencio Summerville on the left flank. He put the ball in from which Wilson scored the winner.

Midfielders

Jarrod Bowen (RM): 8

Was direct and always able to put the ball into dangerous areas. Jarrod Bowen assisted both of West Ham's goals.

Mateus Fernandes (CM): 6

All action performance from Mateus Fernandes.

Tomas Soucek (CM): 8

Partnered well with Fernandes in midfield and was also able to spread the ball about. Tomas Soucek headed in from Jarrod Bowen's corner to give the Hammers the lead. The Czech Republic international dropped back well to help out his defenders. He made a couple of clearances off the line to prevent Everton from scoring.

Crysencio Summerville (LM): 6

It is always a pleasure to see Summerville glide past players when dribbling. However, he has not had a goal involvement in his last three Premier League games.

Forwards

Pablo (SS): 6

More goals would come for Pablo if he gambled more on taking a chance at the far post rather than just lurking about in the middle of the penalty area.

Taty Castellanos (CF): 6

Taty Castellanos is a striker who knows where to be at the right time. He did get clattered by Jordan Pickford, but there were no repercussions.

Substitutes

  • Freddie Potts, 6/10
  • Callum Wilson, 8/10
  • Jean-Clair Todibo, N/A
