West Ham United had a late fightback against Leeds United in the FA Cup, coming from two goals down to draw 2-2. Unfortunately, it was in vain as the Hammers went on to lose 4-2 on penalties. Now Nuno Espirito Santo's side can focus on staying in the Premier League.

West Ham–Leeds United FA Cup player ratings

Below, we're rating the West Ham players on a scale of 1 to 10.

Goalkeeper and defenders

Alphonse Areola (GK): 7

Made some good saves, and could do little about Leeds' opener. Was sent the wrong way when Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored his penalty. Finlay Herrick came on for the shootout and managed to save one.

Kyle Walker-Peters (RB): 6

The right back was often beaten too easily by the Leeds attackers. However, he did make some important clearances.

Axel Disasi (CB): 6

Leeds' opening goal deflected off of Disasi. However, he made amends by getting the late equaliser.

Max Kilman (CB): 5

Rash challenge, which gave away the penalty.

El Hadj Malik Diouf (LB): 7

Linked up well with Jarrod Bowen and Adama Traore. Excellent range of passing, which included some effective long balls.

Midfielders

Freddie Potts (CDM): 6

Solid performance from Potts, who made some important clearances.

Soungoutou Magassa (CDM): 6

Got twisted and turned when Leeds got their opener.

Mateus Fernandes (CAM): 7

The now Portugal international was in the right place at the right time to score. He was very effective in an attacking sense.

Forwards

Adama Traore (RW) 7

Powerful running and linked up well with Bowen. Put some good crosses into the box, which included the assist for Disasi.

Taty Castellanos (CF): 7

Was always in dangerous areas sniffing out chances. He also tracked back well. Hit the post. Thought he had got the winner, but the goal was ruled out.

Jarrod Bowen (LW): 7

Strong running and put the ball into dangerous areas. The West Ham captain was also able to test the Leeds goalkeeper. Also hit the woodwork twice. However, he did miss his penalty.
