West Ham United claimed what could be a vital three points in their bid to avoid relegation from the Premier League. The Hammers beat Fulham 1-0 at Craven Cottage, and were briefly out of the bottom three. However, Eliot Anderson's equalizer for Nottingham Forest against Manchester City meant that Vítor Pereira's side remains above West Ham, but only on goal difference.
Fulham–West Ham Premier League player ratings
Below, we're rating the West Ham players on a scale of 1 to 10.
Goalkeeper and defenders
Mads Hermansen (GK): 8
Mads Hermansen bounced back from conceding five against Liverpool by keeping a clean sheet. He made a great save to deny Josh King and Timothy Castagne late on.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka (RB): 6
Aaron Wan-Bissaka did well to nullify the threat of Alex Iwobi.
Jean-Clair Todibo (CB): 7
The center-back replaced the much-admired Dinos Mavropanos with ease in his first game back after his red card against Chelsea.
Axel Disasi (CB): 7
Axel Disasi was solid, but was a little sloppy in possession at times.
El Hadj Malik Diouf (LB): 6
You know what you are going to get with El Hadj Malik Diouf; he is defensively sound and comfortable in possession. Fulham's danger man is Harry Wilson, but fortunately for Diouf and West Ham, the Welshman was injured.
Midfielders
Jarrod Bowen (RM): 7
Jarrod Bowen was at times wayward and got caught offside on a couple of occasions. However, the West Ham captain was still able to put the ball in dangerous areas. His corners were particularly excellent. Bowen also seized up Bernd Leno's mistake in setting up Crysencio Summerville's goal.
Tomas Soucek (CM): 6
Protected the West Ham back-four well, Tomas Soucek was also a threat from set-pieces.
Mateus Fernandes (CM): 6
Mateus Fernandes made some important challenges and was able to spread the ball around well with his fantastic range of passing. Unfortunately, the midfielder had to come off injured late on.
Crysencio Summerville (LW): 8
Summerville is becoming to West Ham what Carlos Tevez was to the club during the 2006/07 season, where they pulled off 'the great escape.' He showed great composure in going round the Fulham defence before curling the ball into an empty net.
Forwards
Taty Castellanos (CF): 6
Taty Castellanos was willing to drop back and defend when needed, and he was also able to test Leno.
Callum Wilson (CF): 5
It was brave of Nuno Espirito Santo to go with two up front. The plan worked as West Ham won, but he would have liked Callum Wilson to be a bit more effective. Wilson was replaced by Soungoutou Magassa after 60 minutes.
