West Ham United will not be signing Wilson Isidor from Sunderland this transfer window. However, another Black Cats player could be on his way to the Hammers: Simon Adingra.
Keith Downie of Sky Sports posted on X: "Sunderland will not be selling Wilson Isidor this summer, despite interest from a host of clubs (West Ham in particular). Told SAFC will not entertain offers for the Haiti international. The striker remains an integral part of SAFC’s squad ahead of the PL / Europa season & are excited to see him build on a fine World Cup."
Downie then followed this up by posting, "West Ham have made a loan enquiry to Sunderland for Simon Adingra, which is under discussion. Winger Adingra signed last summer for £20.5m from Brighton, and spent the second half of last season on loan at Monaco."
West Ham have been linked with multiple players
Isidor is a striker who scored six goals in 32 Premier League games last season. He then scored one goal in three matches for Haiti at the World Cup. The Hammers are targeting other strikers and have recently been linked with Troy Parrott of AZ Alkmaar.
Signing a new left-winger is another priority for West Ham this summer after letting Crysencio Summerville go to Al-Hilal. Targeting Adingra is ambitious for the Hammers. It did not work out for him at Sunderland, as he scored just once and made one assist in 14 Premier League games. However, he then still got a loan move to Monaco, where, in 14 Ligue 1 matches, found the back of the net three times and provided two assists.
Adingra has also been linked with AS Roma and RB Leipzig this summer. Therefore, he will feel that he is too good to drop down to the Championship. The Hammers have also been linked with other wingers. This includes Manor Solomon of Tottenham Hotspur, who may be a more realistic target.
