Wilson Isidor has featured in both of Haiti's World Cup games so far. He is reportedly a player that West Ham United could be in for.

ExWHUEmployee has revealed that West Ham are interested in Isidor.

Isidor was born in France, and represented Les Bleus up to the Under-20 level. He switched international allegiance this year and has two goals in six caps for Haiti. They lost their opening game of the World Cup to Scotland and were defeated by Brazil last night. This meant that they will not be able to progress from their group, but still have one more game at the tournament, which comes against Morocco.

The striker came through the ranks of his hometown club, Rennes, before moving to AS Monaco. The principality side sent him on loan to Lavell and FC Borgo in the lower divisions of French soccer. Russia was his next destination with spells at Lokomotiv Moscow and Zenit Saint-Petersburg.

Wilson Isidor has experience of the Championship

He was sent on loan to Sunderland for the 2024/25 season, where he scored 12 goals in 43 Championship games. He helped the Black Cats to promotion via the playoffs, where they defeated Sheffield United in the final.

Isidor then joined Sunderland permanently from Zenit. However, he scored just six goals in 32 Premier League games in the campaign just passed. Dropping back down to the Championship with West Ham could be a good way for Isidor to get his confidence back. He is not the only Sunderland striker who has been linked with West Ham recently. Eliezer Mayenda could also be an option for the Hammers. Both Isidor and Mayenda have lacked game time at Sunderland, with Brian Brobbey now the focal point of their attack.

West Ham needs a new striker as it is unlikely that Taty Castellanos and Pablo will stay at the club following their relegation. Callum Wilson's contract is also expiring at the end of the month. He might have the option of going back to Coventry City. Niklas Fullkrug will be returning to West Ham from his loan at AC Milan, but is still expected to leave, too.
