West Ham star forward Mohammed Kudus is currently unavailable to play for Julen Lopetegui’s side due to his red-card against Tottenham Hotspurs in a 4-1 defeat last week. Although the ongoing league campaign hasn't been great for the 24-year-old, Kudus is still among the best West Ham players in the current squad following his impressive twenty goal-contribution debut season last year.

Moreover, Premier League side Liverpool are rumoured to be interested in signing Kudus next season in order to replace their star right-winger Mohammad Salah. Kudus has an £85 million release clause in his West Ham contract and thus, the Hammers would have to bring a good replacement for the former Ajax star, if he departs the London Stadium next season.

Hence, Julen Lopetegui’s side may consider signing Premier League Golden Boot favourite Bryan Mbeumo to bolster their right-wing position in the next summer transfer window. The 25-year-old Brentford star has managed to find the back of the net eight times already in the English top flight, which included an early first-minute goal against the Hammers last month.

Since joining Brentford in 2019, Mbeumo has been an integral part of their squad alongside David Raya and Ivan Toney as they achieved Premier League promotion after the 2020/21 season. In each of the previous two seasons, the left-footed forward has registered more than fifteen goal contributions for Thomas Frank's side in the Premier League. On top of that, Mbeumo's versatility to play as a left-winger as well as a centre forward can provide more tactical flexibility to manager Julen Lopetegui.

Several Premier League teams such as Newcastle United, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspurs are interested in signing Mbeumo and thus, the Hammers will need to submit a significant transfer offer of around £50 million to secure the services of the Brentford star. Recently, Cryscencio Summerville scored his first West Ham goal in the Premier League and hence, it remains to be seen whether the Hammers will decide to sign a new forward to replace Kudus next season if the 22-year-old left-winger continues his goalscoring form in the upcoming matches.
