West Ham visited Fulham to face Marco Silva's side in their second away fixture of the season. Julen Lopetegui's side had Niclas Fullkrug unavailable due to his recent injury and thus decided to start Michail Antonio against Fulham again despite his underwhelming performances in the first three Premier League matches. Moreover, Tomas Soucek started in place of Lucas Paqueta in an advanced midfielder role and the rest of the lineup remained unchanged from the Manchester City match.

Fulham started the match on a high note and found much space inside the West Ham half to create more goal scoring chances. Star defender Max Kilman made a huge tackle on Adama Traore to deny him from giving Fulham the 1-0 lead inside the opening fifteen minutes. Fulham created more chances with centre forward Raul Jimenez coming close to scoring with a header from inside the box before finding the back of the net with an impressive finish in the first half.

West Ham were 1-0 behind going into half time, and thus, brought creative midfielder Lucas Paqueta as a substitute at the start of the second half to provide a much needed spark in their attack. This was a good decision for the Hammers who were now advancing further inside the final third in search of an equaliser. In the final twenty minutes of the match, manager Julen Lopetegui also brought new signing Carlos Soler to inspire more creativity and balance in West Ham's midfield.

However, it was another second half substitute who helped the Hammers to avoid their third Premier League defeat in this match. In the last minute of the game, captain Jarrod Bowen delivered a brilliant pass inside the Fulham box and experienced forward Danny Ings scored his first goal of the season with an impressive finish to draw the match. Despite rumours of a transfer move away from West Ham in this summer transfer window, Ings stayed at the London Stadium and helped the Hammers to take a point from this away fixture.

Michail Antonio is currently struggling to score goals in the Premier League, therefore, Ings could be given more playing time by manager Julen Lopetegui in the upcoming matches.
