West Ham set sights on Manchester United for another key signing
Now, according to latest reports from The Times, West Ham are eyeing Manchester United's Scott McTominay for the role. The 27-year-old Scot is known for his work ethic, athleticism and strength as a holding midfielder.
A quality trait in McTominay is his ability to score crucial last minute goals which showcase his incredible finishing despite not being a forward. However, with the Red Devils already boasting of the likes of Casemiro and Kobbie Mainoo along with locked in negotiations for Uruguayan pivot Manuel Ugarte, the versatile Scot may leave Old Trafford this season.
This has alerted several Premier League teams like Tottenham Hotspur, Fulham and even West Ham. Thus, West Ham can improve their team with a unique profile like Scott McTominay.
According to the same reports, Erik Ten Hag's side value the Scottish midfielder at £35 million. The fee is said to be a bit too much for the Hammers considering they have their priorities with a new defender and a top striker, thus, the club may look at other alternatives before making any offer for Scott McTominay.
Moreover, the club is also trying to agree personal terms with Jean-Clair Todibo after agreeing a transfer fee with Nice. Elsewhere, the Hammers play their second preseason friendly tomorrow with a game against Dag and Red before heading to the United States to take part in the Sunshine State Tour.
