The centre-forward position is becoming a key area for West Ham to address, given their lack of goals this season. In eight matches across all competitions, the Hammers have only managed to score eight goals despite the quality and depth they possess in the attack. Therefore, it seems highly likely that West Ham will enter into the January transfer window prioritising new reinforcements in the attack.
Recently, TeamTalk reported West Ham's interest in signing Eintracht Frankfurt's in-form striker Omar Marmoush, who has been in brilliant form in the Bundesliga since the new year. Last season, the Egypt international bagged 17 goals and provided 6 assists in 41 appearances for Eintracht and has started the new season on a high note as well. Marmoush has found the back of the net six times and has registered three assists in five Bundesliga, helping Eintracht Frankfurt reach the second place in the league behind Bayern Munich.

Similar to Jhon Duran, Marmoush is a jet-heeled forward who possesses an incredible finishing and is decent with his heading ability inside the box. Thus, Marmoush can be a much-needed goalscoring reinforcement for the Hammers, who are lacking creativity and spark in their front three. However, West Ham aren't the only club interested in signing the 25-year-old with trusted journalist, Christian Falk reporting Marmoush's desire to join Premier League rivals Liverpool or Arsenal instead.
Liverpool forward Mohammed Salah may leave the Reds on a free transfer at the end of this season, thus, they can enter the race to sign his international teammate to replace him. Moreover, Mikel Arteta's Arsenal can consider signing Marmoush to bolster their centre-forward position due to frequent injuries to first-choice forward Gabriel Jesus. Currently, West Ham aren't playing European football as compared to those two UEFA Champions League playing sides, and that can be a deciding factor in Marmoush opting to join either of Liverpool or Arsenal instead.
Meanwhile, it remains to be seen whether West Ham resolve their shortcomings in the attack or decide to bring in a new striker in the January transfer window.
