West Ham linked with defender wanted by Manchester United
- West Ham linked with Manchester United transfer target.
- Hammers were already linked with Aaron Wan-Bissaka now interested in Bayern's Mazraoui as well.
It is no secret that West Ham need a new right-back this summer. Vladimir Coufal has been a decent signing, since arriving for £4 million from Slavia Prague in 2020, however the Czech International is currently the only right-back at the club and his age and his lack of pace is a real concern when it comes to the Premier League.
That has left West Ham with only one option that is to bring a new right-back at the London Stadium. Last season, defence was a major issue for the Hammers as they let in 74 goals in the 2023/24 Premier League bettered by only the three relegated clubs. With the likes of attacking talents such as Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen, the club needs to reinforce the defence to do justice to the attack. Hopefully, reinforcements will be brought in before the season begins.

This has led the club to engage in talks with Manchester United for £15 million star Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Southampton for £20 million fullback Kyle Walker-Peters. On the other hand, West Ham is being linked with a Bundesliga fullback. Transfer journalist, Florian Plettenberg has reported that they have enquired about Bayern Munich right-back, Noussair Mazraoui.
The Hammers are already believed to be looking to sign one Manchester United fullback, Aaron Wan-Bissaka. And now, the name of a Manchester United transfer target, Mazraoui has been added to that list.
Since signing as a free agent from Ajax in summer 2022, Mazraoui has already shown his ability to deliver the goods in the Bundesliga. The 26-year-old has been a key player for Bayern and his defensive abilities were on full show in the FIFA World Cup 2022 for Morocco as they reached the Semi-finals.
Thus, there is no question that Mazraoui is a top talent and he has been linked with clubs like Manchester United already. So, the Hammers monitoring Noussair Mazraoui can be beneficial if they couldn't sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka or Kyle Walker-Peters from their Premier League rivals.
