West Ham are in the transfer market to sign a new centre back to improve their defence. According to FCInterNews, West Ham are interested in signing young Inter defender to bolster their squad. Yann Bisseck is a 23-year-old centre-back who joined Inter Milan from Danish club Aarhus GF last year for a reported €7.5 million. The young German's impressive start has hinted at a bright future for both him and the club.

Last season, Bisseck made 16 appeareances for Inter in the Serie A scoring two goals and keeping 6 clean sheets that helped Inter win the Serie A in the 2023/24 season. His pre-season performances have been nothing short of impressive, with Bisseck contributing to Inter's build-up play with composure and accuracy. Recently, in the 1-1 friendly against Pisa, Bisseck scored the last minute equaliser to level the game for Inter.

While Bisseck is still young and can improve further, his recovery pace and physicality along with his game awareness has been crucial for Inter as the youngster can play in a back four and a back five as well maintaining positional integrity. This suggests that the centre back can be the defensive leader for West Ham alongside summer signing Max Kilman.

According to the same report, Inter want a fee of around €25 million, however they aren't in a hurry to sell the defender. West Ham have seen their defensive issues highlighted in the Wolves and Crystal Palace friendly and may look to submit an official bid for Yann Bisseck.

But first of all, the Hammers need to sell one of Kurt Zouma or Nayef Aguerd to make way for a new centre back. While there is still much to learn and adapt for Bisseck, the positive progress he has shown thus far is encouraging. If the young German indeed arrives at the London Stadium this summer, West Ham fans have every reason to be excited about what the future holds for this talented young defender.
