According to TuttoSport, West Ham and Roma are locked in a fierce battle to secure the signature of Juventus' rising star, Matias Soule. The 21-year-old right winger has caught the eye of both the clubs following an impressive loan spell at Frosinone last season.

A creative playmaker by trait, Soule's game awareness and quick feet have made him a prime target for West Ham as they look to bolster their attacking ranks ahead of their 2024/25 Premier League campaign. In his 36 appeareances for Frosinone in Serie A, the young Argentine managed to score eleven goals and provided three assists, showcasing his exceptional technical ability.

What sets Soule apart is his ability to play both centrally and wide, making him a versatile option in the attack. His magical left foot, dribbling, and speed make him a unique attacking asset, drawing comparisons to Argentina's legend Lionel Messi. Messi's iconic performances for club and country in a career spanning nearly fifteen years have set the bar high for Matias Soule to aspire to.

During his loan spell at Frosinone in 2023/24, Soule made 14 goal contributions for the Italian side as they just fall short to survive relegation. His adaptability was on full display as he seamlessly transitioned between various positions, from right wing to attacking midfield and sometimes even as a second striker.

Juventus know they have a gem of a talent on their hands and thus have slapped around £30 million price tag on their young prospect, reflecting his immense potential. West Ham, having already made three signings this summer, are keen to outbid Daniele De Rossi's Roma and secure Soule's signature. The club views him as a key piece in their attack following uncertainities surrounding the situation of star playmaker, Lucas Paqueta as they gear up for the 2024/25 Premier League.

Roma, meanwhile, are also in the market for attacking reinforcements following the departure of Andrea Belotti to newly promoted Serie A club Como. Also, Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku has returned to Chelsea at the end of his year long loan. Thus, Roma see Soule as a long-term investment, recognising his potential to develop into a key player for years to come. With his Juventus contract running until June 2026, securing his services would be a shrewd move for Daniele De Rossi's side.

Soule's blend of playmaking, vision, and technical skills make him a valuable asset for any top-tier team. For the Hammers, his addition could be the final piece in their attacking puzzle as they prepare for a challenging season ahead in the English Top Flight.
