West Ham agree personal terms with Manchester United defender
- West Ham agree personal terms with Manchester United's Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
- The right back has agreed a five year contract at the London Stadium until the summer of 2029.
After signing Leeds United winger Cryscencio Summerville for £25 million, West Ham have turned their attention to bolstering another key position that needs reinforcements this summer. Right back has been an area of concern for the Hammers with the last season portraying the need to sign a more fast paced and defensive right back to provide defensive support to the back four.
And Julen Lopetegui and the board have Manchester United's Aaron Wan-Bissaka on their signing wishlist ever since the summer transfer window opened. And honestly, the negotiations with United have been long and difficult with transfer rumours going back and forth over whether or not the English fullback will arrive to the London Stadium or not.
Hammers technical director, Tim Steidten who is in charge of the negotiations laid down a master plan to get United to sell Wan-Bissaka and replace him with Noussair Mazraoui. This has been the key to start advanced negotiations to sign Wan-Bissaka. However, there hasn't been much progress made on the deal, with the clubs yet to agree to a transfer fee.

"West Ham have now reached a verbal agreement with Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Personal terms agreed. 26 y/o right-back can sign a contract until 2029 with WHUFC.
But no agreement with ManUtd yet. West Ham have made an offer of £10m. MUFC demand up to £18m at this stage. Negotiations ongoing."
This is definitely a positive update on Wan-Bissaka from Hammers point of view as the defender is ready to join West Ham on a five year contract. Still, the Red Devils and the Hammers are yet to find an agreement regarding the transfer fee.
The report further states that United have upped their demand from £15 million up to £18 million for the 26-year-old right back. Currently, the negotiations are ongoing between the clubs and it is increasingly likely that West Ham will finalize the signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the coming days.
