As West Ham have made a total of six signings, there is a chance that the club can sell a few players this summer. And after selling French centre back Kurt Zouma, West Ham may look to sell another defender.
Currently, Julen Lopetegui's side have a new centre back and a new right back as the priority signings to do this summer. For the right back position, the Hammers are negotiating with Manchester United for Aaron Wan-Bissaka as Vladimir Coufal is 31 years old and is struggling to adapt to Julen Lopetegui's tactical setup. Thus, Coufal will have to accept a squad role at West Ham ahead of Wan-Bissaka's arrival.
Turkish club interested in experienced West Ham star
According to Turkish outlet Takvim, Besiktas are interested in signing Vladimir Coufal from West Ham. Besiktas want to sign Coufal to bolster their defence. Coufal has been a quality signing for West Ham since arriving from Slavia Prague four years ago.
However, he is 31-years-old and doesn't possess a great recovery pace and now struggles against world class Premier League wingers. With the new league season looming, the Giovanni Van Bronckhorst led club sees Coufal as a vital addition to their squad in their aim for returning to European football next season.
With the signings of star players like Ciro Immobile, Rafa Silva and Gabriel Paulista this summer, Besiktas consider Coufal as the reliable signing needed to improve the right back spot as well. After their recent 5-0 win against league Champions Galatasaray, Besiktas want to sign Coufal to strengthen their squad ahead of the league season.
For West Ham, they need to raise funds for signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka and a new centre back. Thus, the West Ham board may consider selling Coufal for around £15 million this summer.
