Attack
Coming to the attack, Brazil international Lucas Paqueta should be started on the left-wing position. Recently, former assistant manager Kevin Nolan discussed the best way to incorporate the former Lyon star in the front three and he suggested to use Paqueta's flair and creative playmaking ability to create empty spaces and good chances down the left flank.
At the centre forward position, Lopetegui should make a big decision to bring Mohammed Kudus instead of Hammers Premier League topscorer Michail Antonio. The 34-year-old has looked off the pace this season, and often takes a few heavy touches around the edge of the box. Therefore, his decision making and recent form haven't been encouraging and in Fullkrug's absence, the former Ajax forward should be the first choice option as the striker.
Kudus has been decent with creating chances in the new season, but he is a more prolific goalscorer while playing through the centre. On the right flank, captain Jarrod Bowen should be the starter for the Hammers as he has been West Ham's best forward with three goals this season. Moreover, Lopetegui must start Paqueta and Bowen around the edge of the box instead of near the right flank.
This will allow the front three of Bowen, Kudus and Paqueta to link up well with their clever passes as well as give them more good goalscoring opportunities from near the box. Further, the forwards should help the team while defending, and must try to win the ball possession in Ipswich Town's half with their high-pressing tactical setup throughout the match.
