Without a doubt, Mohammed Kudus is one of the best signings for West Ham in the recent seasons since arriving in a £38 million move from Ajax last year. In his debut season, the 24-year-old versatile playmaker scored fourteen goals and provided seven assists for the Hammers and was the second top scorer for the club after captain Jarrod Bowen. His impressive performances in the Premier League haven't gone unnoticed as transfer interest in Kudus is increasing with Premier League teams as well as top European clubs willing to secure the signing of the left footed forward.

When West Ham signed Jean-Clair Todibo, there were several transfer rumours suggesting that the former Ajax star could leave the London Stadium next season in order to raise transfer funds for West Ham to sign Todibo on a permanent basis from French side Nice. Further, Kudus's release clause is £85 million which will become active next summer, therefore, increasing the chances of Kudus's departure next season. And he can stay in the Premier League as well with Liverpool interested in signing him from West Ham at the end of this season.

Recently, Liverpool forward Mohammad Salah expressed uncertainty over his future and said that he is open to leaving the Reds next season. Since joining Liverpool from Roma in the summer transfer window of 2017, Salah has been a star signing for the club scoring 214 goals and provided 92 assists in 352 appearances while winning the Premier League as well as the UEFA Champions League at Liverpool. Thus, Liverpool will be looking to sign a star player to replace Salah, and could look to sign Kudus, who is entering into his prime.

Kudus is also a left footed forward like Salah and his blistering pace and dribbling helps him to create a lot of goal scoring chances against top Premier League teams. Moreover, the Reds have only signed Federico Chiesa for a transfer fee of £15 million in this transfer window, thus, are highly likely to spend huge on a proven Premier League forward like Kudus. Therefore, West Ham need to return to playing European football next season to increase their chances of keeping star forward Kudus at the club for more seasons.
