Manchester City sign another young talent from West Ham

Earlier in this transfer window, Premier League Champions Manchester City signed young talent Xavier Parker from West Ham's youth academy. After the signing of the 18-year-old promising midfielder, Pep Guardiola's side have signed another young West Ham player.

In the 2022/23 season, young forward Divin Mubama made his West Ham debut in a 3-0 win in the UEFA Conference League group stage. Further, Mubama scored his first West Ham goal in the knockout stages in a 4-0 win over AEK Larnaca.

In the following season, the young forward made five Premier League appearances for West Ham. Now, transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano has reported that Manchester City are very close to sign the 19-year-old forward, saying,

"Man City to sign one more talent as they close in on Divin Mubama deal.
OL and Famalicão were in talks but City see Mubama as homegrown player who could develop with right pathway.
Mubama will be in Manchester this season then potential loan."

This signing again shows City's focus on developing young talents. City have already developed young talents like Phil Foden and Cole Palmer into star Premier League players. In the preseason, Manchester City have been developing young Norwegian forward Oscar Bobb as well who is expected to be a key player for Pep Guardiola's side in the upcoming season.

Under the guidance of manager Pep Guardiola and several world class players, Mubama will get a lot of experience to become a star player in the upcoming seasons. Meanwhile, Julen Lopetegui's West Ham are preparing to face Aston Villa in the first match day of the new Premier League season.
