Former Crystal Palace striker assesses West Ham's transfer window
The summer transfer window is over now, and West Ham have completed nine new signings to assemble a quality squad. After an underwhelming ninth place finish last season, despite a good start, major changes were expected at the London Stadium. New manager Julen Lopetegui and West Ham technical director Tim Steidten have completed a huge squad rebuild which was previously one of the most ageing squads in the Premier League.
Thus, the Hammers transfer activity has been praised by the fans as they attempt to do better than last season. Further West Ham signed several elite players such as Niclas Fullkrug, Jean-Clair Todibo, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Carlos Soler despite not playing European football this season, which has been admired by several Premier League analysts. Now, former Crystal Palace striker Clinton Morrison has also expressed his thoughts on West Ham's brilliant transfer activity.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Morrison revealed West Ham as one of the best teams after the summer transfer window, saying,
"Their window has been excellent.

I think West Ham will have a big season this season.
I think some of the signings, in particular at right-back Wan-Bissaka is a really good signing, and they’ve got quality already so I think they’ve added a lot."
Morrison also added that Wan-Bissaka is a really smart signing for West Ham, and the fullback has displayed his quality in the three games he has played for the Hammers. In his West Ham debut against Crystal Palace, he created the chance on the first goal with his advancing run down the right flank and provided defensive solidity at right back. He carried his remarkable form against Bournemouth as well, making several tackles and huge blocks to help West Ham keep a clean sheet in a narrow 1-0 win.
Recently, against Manchester City, Wan-Bissaka was one of the best performers for Julen Lopetegui's side despite a 3-1 defeat in the home fixture. Thus, without a doubt, the former Manchester United defender is one of the best signings for West Ham, who are aiming to return to playing European football from next season by finishing inside the top six in the Premier League. Now, West Ham need to find a winning momentum as they have faced two defeats in three games in the league season.
