With only five points from the first six league matches and having faced massive defeats against Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool, manager Julen Lopetegui hasn't had a good start at West Ham. This has led to speculations about West Ham bringing in a replacement for the former Real Madrid manager, if the Hammers doesn't show any progress in the next few matches. Recently, former Chelsea manager Graham Potter also revealed about his decision to return to club football management and therefore, is an option for the West Ham managerial role.

Moreover, there have been surprising transfer rumours regarding former manager David Moyes's return to the London Stadium, within five months after his decision to leave the club. While this is still a transfer rumour, West Ham's recent performances and the fact that they haven't won a game in their previous five matches have sparked those rumours about Moyes returning to the Hammers for a third time. Recently, transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano discussed about these transfer rumours, saying,

Fabrizio Romano gives an update about David Moyes return rumours

"Despite West Ham’s struggles and talk of a possible return for David Moyes as manager, I have no info on Moyes returning or any idea, discussion or contact so far.

West Ham as a club keep supporting Julen Lopetegui and waiting for better results after many player changes in the summer."

Fabrizio Romano revealed that there hasn't been any attempts from the club to involve in managerial talks with David Moyes, and the Hammers believe in the former UEFA Europa League winning manager to get West Ham back to winning ways. However, for that to happen, West Ham needs to improve their lacklustre performances in attack as the Hammers have only once scored more than one goal in a match this season. In the next fixture, West Ham will face Kieran McKenna's newly promoted side Ipswich Town, who are only one point behind the Hammers and played a 2-2 draw with Aston Villa in the sixth Premier League matchday.

Therefore, manager Julen Lopetegui needs to find the best out of star forwards Jarrod Bowen, Mohammed Kudus and Lucas Paqueta in order to take the three points in their next match. On the other side, if West Ham can't take a win against Ipswich Town, those managerial rumours of bringing Graham Potter or David Moyes to replace Lopetegui will increase during the upcoming international break.
