According to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, Leeds have been approached by Serie A giants AS Roma and Premier League side West Ham in a bid to sign electrifying Dutch winger, Crysencio Summerville this summer.
Fabrizio Romano recently reported the Hammers interest in the left winger, saying,
Fabrizio Romano claims West Ham interested in exciting £30 million Premier League winger
"West Ham have submitted initial proposal to Leeds United for Crysencio Summerville.Fabrizio Romano
Talks took place also on player side, but still not close, considered very expensive.
AS Roma have also included Summerville in their list but only in case Soulé deal doesn’t happen."
This reports comes amidst speculation of West Ham registering their interest in Juventus' Matias Soule who is likened to be the next Lionel Messi. Hammers boss Julen Lopetegui has been very busy already this summer and welcomed the likes of young Brazilian, Luis Guilherme, 33-year-old keeper Wes Foderingham and £40 million centre-back Max Kilman.
However, seeing Roma's interest in Soule and concerns of the Argentine's ability to adapt in the Premier League, West Ham have switched their attention towards Leeds United's £30 winger, Cryscencio Summerville. The right-foot left winger is a treat to watch down the left-wing with Summerville registering four goals and two assists in the 2022/23 Premier League season before scoring a further 20 goals and nine assists in the Championship last season.
TeamTALK has labeled Summerville as an exciting prospect and with West Ham short of wingers in the squad, the 22-year-old talent can bring a new dimension to the Hammers attack easing the goalscoring burden on star players, Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen.
But in a surprising turn of events, Roma are also monitoring Summerville in case they couldn't sign Matias Soule from Serie A rivals Juventus this summer. It remains to be seen if West Ham move for either of Matias Soule or Cryscencio Summerville but it is certain they will need to outbid the Serie A giants.
