2 pros and 2 cons of Hammers signing Adrien Rabiot

Pros

1. Experience

The Frenchman came through the youth ranks at Paris Saint-Germain and quickly made his way through the starting XI. However, inconsistent performances and injuries saw him leave Parc Des Princes as a free agent.

He joined Juventus on a free in 2019 and in his five years at the record Serie A champions, he has grown strength to strength to cement a starting spot for Juventus and Didier Deschamps' France side as well. Thus, the box-to-box midfielder comes with a wealth of European experience and could prove extremely beneficial as West Ham look to secure European football this season.

2. Price

Rabiot is currently a free agent and unlike other midfield targets like Scott McTominay, West Ham won't have to pay any transfer fee to sign him. Plus, he was earning €7 million salary at Juventus. So, an offer of €8-9 million per year would be enough to bring Rabiot to the London Stadium.

Also, Rabiot's physicality would suit him well in the Premier League as the Frenchman is great on winning aerial duels and quick in winning the ball back. Plus, his finishing has improved in the last two seasons at Juventus and that's an added benefit as well.
