West Ham United closed the gap on the league leaders, Swansea City, by defeating them 1-0 away from home. The Hammers are now just one point behind the Swans after 11 Championship games.
West Ham Player Ratings
Mads Hermansen - 6: Was beaten by Ben Cabango's shot, but it came back off the crossbar. Otherwise, Hermansen did not have to make a save.
Joel Veltman - 6: Veltman appears to be the Hammers' first choice right-back instead of Kyle Walker-Peters right now.
Konstantinos Mavropanos - 6: Solid performance and strange not to be writing about Mavropanos scoring.
Max Kilman - 6: Mavropanos gets the headlines, but Kilman has been an excellent defensive partner for the Greek international this season.
Morato - 6: Defended very well and kept Moussa Yeo out of the game.
Jarrod Bowen (c) - 6: Bowen made some strong runs and forced the Swansea keeper into making a good save.
Divine Mukasa - 7: Found himself in space and finished simply to score the winning goal.
Arne Engels - 6: His performance against Lincoln City was criticised, but he helped the Hammers control the midfield in this game.
Mohamadou Kante - 7: The defensive midfielder is flourishing in an attacking role and provided the low cross that Mukasa scored from. He also did not forgo his defensive duties.
Manor Solomon - 6: Got into good areas but seemed to often choose to play a safe pass. Many fans want Edvin Austbo to start ahead of the Israeli.
Pablo - 6: Held the ball up well and linked up well with his teammates. Pablo was involved in the build-up to Mukasa's goal. Again spurned a good opportunity to score.
Off the Bench
Edvin Austbo - 6: Another good performance off the bench from Austbo. He will no doubt get the opportunity to start soon.
Taty Castellanos - 6: Gets into more dangerous areas than Pablo does. Therefore, he is more of a goal threat.
Tom Soucek - N/A: Came on in the 84th minute and helped see out the victory.
Joel Piroe - N/A: Was substituted on just after Soucek, so we cannot really give him a rating.
