It has not worked out for Pablo at West Ham United. However, a reunion with his former manager César Peixoto could be on the cards.

According to Football Insider, "West Ham transfer chiefs will likely be happy to cut their losses with the Brazilian. It would be far from a surprise to see Wolves now make that move, considering Pablo's success under Peixoto."

Wolverhampton Wanderers made the shock decision to sack Rob Edwards and replace him with Peixoto. Edwards was supposed to be the manager to lead Wolves, who have also just been relegated, back to the Premier League. His sacking has led to anger from recent Wolves acquisition Kieran Trippier, who is now trying to back out of the deal.

Former West Ham and Wolves player Matt Jarvis was shocked by the decision to part ways with Edwards. He told talkSPORT, "It's ridiculous really and definitely out of the blue."

Pablo could not find his shooting boots at West Ham

Pablo was successful under Peixoto at Gil Vicente before moving to West Ham. In 25 games for the Portuguese side with Peixoto in the dugout, Pablo scored 14 goals with one assist. He was used as a center-forward by Peixoto, but had a different role at West Ham.

Nuno Espirito Santo used Pablo more as a second striker, with Taty Castellanos leading the line. Castellanos excelled, scoring six goals in 18 Premier League matches. Pablo worked hard, was unselfish, and looked good off the ball. However, he failed to score in 17 games for West Ham. He made just one assist, which was setting up Castellanos in a 4-0 victory over Wolves.

Peixoto would be able to restore Pablo's confidence. He will also play him in his favored position as a center-forward. However, he would face competition at Wolves from Raúl Jiménez, who is back at the club following a stint at Fulham. Jiménez is not the same player he was before his head injury, but he still scored for Mexico in the opening game of the World Cup.

Pablo could also have other options, as he has been linked with Lazio. He needs to find a place where he can play regularly in a role that suits him. He is just 22, and whilst it has not worked out for him at West Ham, he has the potential to be a top striker.
