Many West Ham United players are currently being linked with Everton. However, Dwight McNeil could be coming the other way from the Toffees.

Read Everton has reported that "West Ham United have registered interest in Everton winger Dwight McNeil this summer."

Rumors of West Ham players moving to Everton have been fueled because David Moyes is the current Toffees manager. Jarrod Bowen, Tomas Soucek, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and Taty Castellanos have all been linked with the Toffees.

Possibly, a move for McNeil could be part of a swap deal for a current West Ham player.

Would Dwight McNeil be a good fit for West Ham?

McNeil came close to moving to London in February. He had completed his medical to join Crystal Palace. However, the move fell through at the last minute.

The winger went on to complete the season with Everton. However, in 22 Premier League games, he did not score and made just one assist. This is not a record that will draw interest from many more top-flight clubs, so a move to West Ham may be McNeil's best option.

As West Ham risk losing both Bowen and Crysencio Summerville this summer, they will need a new winger. It has also been announced that Adama Traore will be leaving when his contract expires. McNeil is predominantly a left-winger, but he can also play on the right.

McNeil is 26, so he should be in his prime. He has spent the entirety of his career in the Premier League with Burnley and now Everton. Therefore, he may be reluctant to drop down to the Championship. However, playing regularly should be what the winger prioritizes. Palace's loss could be West Ham's gain.
