West Ham team news

Tomáš Souček is back training, but possibly unlikely to feature this weekend. It would be brave to give him his first game in a rivalry as big as this. However, having Souček return would give Hammers supporters a boost. His physicality may also be needed off the bench. Joël Veltman is also a concern after coming off against Wrexham with an injury, and then missing the midweek match with Fulham.

Millwall team news

Millwall have several injuries, and 11 players missed their match with Middlesbrough this week. This included Tristan Crama, Romain Esse, Joshua Coburn, Casper De Norre, Alfie Doughty, Mihailo Ivanovic, Lukas Jensen, Ryan Leonard, Kyrell Lisbie, Massimo Luongo and Mathis Servais.

Millwall vs. West Ham prediction

Millwall against West Ham is a fierce rivalry, so there is no doubt that the Lions supporters will make the atmosphere intimidating at the Den. However, West Ham are in form in the Championship. Although they did lose 3-2 to Fulham during the week, that was in the EFL Cup against Premier League opposition.

The Hammers are top of the Championship, and Millwall are 11th. The division has a reputation for often being very tight. We are only seven games in, and the Lions are only four points behind the Hammers.

West Ham have one of the best squads in the Championship, and may only have a couple of players missing. Millwall have a huge number of injury concerns. Therefore, I am going to go for a 3-1 win for West Ham.
