Jean-Clair Todibo is expected to leave West Ham United this summer following a fallout with Nuno Espirito Santo. He could be set to join the Turkish giants, Fenerbahce.

According to Jeunesfooteux (translated from French), "Fenerbahce is closely monitoring the situation of the former Nice defender and is working on a loan with an option to buy."

Fenerbahce has a history of taking players from West Ham on similar deals. Edson Alvarez was loaned to the Super Lig club last year. However, he suffered a bad ankle injury, which meant that he made just 18 appearances for Fenerbahce.

Todibo had a good first season on loan at West Ham from Nice, which led to his permanent move to the London Stadium. However, in the campaign just passed, he was poor as the Hammers were relegated.

The center-back was sent off late on in a 3-2 defeat to Chelsea. He was then not trusted by Nuno, who often left him on the bench. Dinos Mavropanos and Axel Disasi became the Hammers' central defensive partnership.

It is best for all parties if Jean-Clair Todibo leaves West Ham

Todibo was replaced after just 26 minutes in a 3-1 defeat to Newcastle United. This led to his reported fallout with Nuno. The Frenchman then allegedly refused to play in West Ham's final game of the season against Leeds United.

The defender is now 26 and has not been able to settle anywhere. He began his career at Toulouse and earned a move to Barcelona. However, he played just five times for Barca and was loaned to Schalke, Benfica, and Nice.

He joined Nice permanently in 2021 and went on to play over 100 times for the club. There were rumors that he could return to Ligue 1 with Olympique de Marseille. However, it appears as if Fenerbahce is the more likely next destination for Todibo.

The player earned two caps for France when he was at Nice, but he has not been able to replicate this form since. At Fenerbahce, he would be joining a team that will be in the Champions League and competing for domestic trophies.

Fenerbahce has a notable roster with many former Premier League players. This includes the likes of Ederson, Mattéo Guendouzi, Marco Asensio, Fred, and N'Golo Kanté. The current France roster for the World Cup includes Kanté. This shows that Todibo could still get a recall to Les Bleus whilst playing in Turkiye.
