Harry Redknapp's career in soccer began at West Ham United. He came through the ranks and broke into the first team in 1965. There he played alongside England's 1966 World Cup heroes Bobby Moore, Geoff Hurst, and Martin Peters.

Redknapp would play 163 times for West Ham, scoring eight goals and providing eight assists. He then moved to AFC Bournemouth. It was with the Cherries that his managerial career would start, before returning to West Ham initially as Billy Bonds' assistant. He would soon become the manager at Upton Park.

He assembled a great West Ham side that included the likes of Paolo Di Canio, Trevor Sinclair, and Stuart Pearce. Redknapp also guided the likes of Frank Lampard, Rio Ferdinand, Joe Cole, and Michael Carrick into the first team.

Redknapp's side finished as high as fifth in the Premier League and won the Intertoto Cup. However, he left the club just before the end of the 2000/01 season. Redknapp then managed Portsmouth and Southampton before taking charge of Tottenham Hotspur.

With Spurs, Redknapp took them to the League Cup final, where they lost on penalties to Manchester United. He had some great players at Spurs, including the likes of Gareth Bale, Luka Modric, and Jermaine Defoe.

Redknapp's side finished fourth in the 2011/12 Premier League season, which looked to have secured them a Champions League place. However, they lost their spot after Chelsea claimed European club soccer's biggest prize by defeating Bayern Munich on penalties. He then lost his job at Spurs.

His managerial career soon fizzled out with spells at Queens Park Rangers, Jordan, and Birmingham City. Redknapp has since had a successful career on television. This included winning I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!

Redknapp has not managed a team since Birmingham in 2017. However, many Spurs fans want him to replace Igor Tudor to save them from relegation. He told the Press Association, "I’ve been asked a few times if I’d go back to Spurs and it’s probably not going to happen, is it?... They haven’t been in touch, not at all. I hope Spurs stay up and I hope West Ham stay up."
