While West Ham completed a massive 4-1 home win against Ipswich Town last week, some players weren't at their level best in the seventh Premier League matchday. One of them is star playmaker Lucas Paqueta, who gave away ball possession multiple times during the build up play and left Liam Delap unmarked on the 1-1 equaliser as well. Although the 27-year-old scored the fourth goal for Julen Lopetegui's side, it was another similar performance from the Brazil international who didn't create many goal scoring chances despite attempting multiple key passes.

Since arriving at West Ham, Paqueta has struggled to improve his finishing and decision making in the final third while going forward. On top of that, Paqueta has also had some off-field issues in recent seasons, which kept Premier League Champions Manchester City from signing him in a huge £85 million transfer move. However, another top European side are currently interested in Paqueta and could enter into transfer talks with the Hammers in the next summer transfer window.

According to BolaVip, defending UEFA Champions League winners Real Madrid view Paqueta as a great playmaking option in the midfield and the 27-year-old’s arrival will provide more squad depth and quality to Carlo Ancelotti's side. Further, Real Madrid have four Brazil internationals in their star studded squad and thus could look to reunite left-winger Vinicius Jr with his former Flamengo teammate Paqueta. Real Madrid already have some of the best box-to-box midfielders in Europe such as Jude Bellingham, Federico Valverde and Eduardo Camavinga, thus, could consider a move for Paqueta to spark more creativity and flair into their attack.

While Paqueta hasn't thrived much in a possession based tactical setup at West Ham, the 27-year-old can adapt well as a creative midfielder alongside elite forwards Vinicius Jr, Kylian Mbappe and Rodrygo in La Liga. For West Ham, Paqueta's departure could provide them a significant transfer fee to reinforce their squad, and it remains to be seen whether Real Madrid enter into negotiations to sign Paqueta from West Ham next season.
