With Crysencio Summerville expected to leave and Jarrod Bowen's future in doubt, West Ham United have been linked with several wingers recently. Amario Cozier-Duberry of Brighton & Hove Albion is the latest one on the Hammers' radar.

The Athletic has revealed, "West Ham are interested in Brighton winger Amario Cozier-Duberry... a long-standing target for West Ham, has two years remaining on his contract and discussions have been held over an extension."

The outlet also reported that "Aston Villa have expressed a strong interest in West Ham United’s Jarrod Bowen. No club-to-club discussions have taken place and Villa view an agreement as currently difficult to do because they need to make player sales."

Like Bowen, Cozier-Duberry favors playing on the right wing. Therefore, it could be a like-for-like switch. The Hammers have also been linked with Arsenal's Reiss Nelson and Nestory Irankunda of Watford.

Who is Brighton's Amario Cozier-Duberry?

Cozier-Duberry spent time in Arsenal's academy, but came through the ranks at Brighton. However, he is yet to make a first-team appearance for the Seagulls. He had a season on loan at Blackburn Rovers in the Championship, but registered just one goal in 22 league games.

The winger made a name for himself in League One in the campaign just gone. He scored 10 goals with 13 assists in 41 games in all competitions for Bolton Wanderers. This included setting up a goal in a 4-1 win over Stockport County in the playoff final.

He has represented England up to the Under-20 level and has been linked with several other teams. This includes the likes of Schalke 04, FC Koln, Cercle Brugge, and Rangers. A move to Schalke or Koln could be tempting, as Bundesliga clubs have recently given chances to young English players. Notably, Jude Bellingham, Jadon Sancho, and Jamie Gittens have developed at Borussia Dortmund.

Moving to the Belgian Pro League with Cercle Brugge, or the Scottish Premiership with Rangers, could be seen as a sideways step. At West Ham, he should have the opportunity to play in the Premier League one day, as the club is expected to bounce straight back up to the division.

Cozier-Duberry's experience of helping an EFL club to promotion would be very valuable to Nuno Espirito Santo's side. The 21-year-old is a left-footed right winger who can also play on the left. Therefore, he would be a good replacement for either Summerville or Bowen. However, West Ham fans will still be hoping that Bowen stays at the club.
