Matchweek Three ended with great success for West Ham and FPL clubs, with West Ham players on their teams. Here’s what we learned and what’s upcoming.
Quickly looking back at Monday night, we find an over-attacking West Ham squad that we haven’t seen the likes of in some time. The club put out a MOTM poll, with Rice, Antonio, Benrahma, and Fornals as your options, and to be honest, any of those selections would’ve been the right answer. It was Michail Antonio’s night, but the whole club put in an incredible effort.
As far as the FPL community goes, teams that had the likes of Antonio and Said Benrahma on their squads were equally pleased with how their week turned out. Matchweek Two’s top team had both of the aforementioned Hammers on their squad, giving them top honors.
Both Antonio and Beni were labeled as FPL Kings of the Week. Miggy came home with 16 points, and Benrahma finished the week with 12 points. In looking at the bigger picture, both Hammers are on the FPL King of the Season list as well, gathering 29 and 24 points, respectively. Continuing on his upward trend, Michail Antonio is also the top points getter through the first two weeks.
West Ham FPL Update | Gearing you up for Matchweek 3
If you don’t have Antonio or Said Benrahma on your FPL squad, our first thought is why? The second and almost as important thought is to get them both and do it now! Beni is still only costing FPL players £6.2, and Antonio is sitting at £7.7. Both are a bit steeper than where they started the season but still very much in reach for most teams.
Get the Hammers duo before it’s too late, as their prices will surely be moving up as both players were this week’s top transfers as well. Moving into Matchweek Three, The Premier Leagues fantasy site has listed their MW3 Kings to watch. Their “scout” has tipped players with the five players to watch out for this week, and Aaron Cresswell has made the list.
So far this year, Cresswell has played in every minute of both matches, scoring once and completing just under 130 passes so far. He has been a little slow on the FPL points side of things, only collecting nine points for players so far, but he has been right there a lot of times over the past two weeks.
The names of Aaron Cresswell and Michail Antonio have been on watchlists since even before FPL started gathering points. Still, Said Benrahma has been an exciting addition for both West Ham United and every FPL club that he joins. As always, you can join our league for some fun competition, and until next week, COME ON YOU IRONS!
