PAI Capital: Leaving West Ham fans with more questions than answers
PAI Capital’s principal partner, Philip Beard, sat down with talkSPORT over the consortium’s bid for West Ham, leaving us all with more questions than answers.
Roughly three weeks ago now, West Ham fans began hearing rumors that their club could be sold and taken over by the consortium of PAI Capital. The initial news was like Christmas morning, selling us promises on new leadership, a home to be proud of, and that they would work on fixing the board/fans relationship.
After about a week of nothing, the consortium then came out with a second statement on their bid and interest in not only West Ham but the entirety of the London Stadium. A claim was made that they had already reached an agreement with the grounds and that the Ferdinand brothers would be joining in on the bid.
Then yesterday happened, and we all hoped to hear something promising from Mr. Beard’s interview with talkSPORT. On the contrary, it was a lot more confusion than questions answered. Starting with where they are all located. At first, it was stated that all of the consortium was in London, only to be retracted by them splitting time elsewhere.

Not that that fact matters, but it is concerning to see another potential leader of West Ham milling their questions around. There is still the back and forth of was there a bid and for how much? Mr. Beard claims that they did submit something while GSB has continued to report otherwise.
As the interview went on, many of the same previous topics came up and were once again verified by PAI’s partner. It appeared that talkSPORT had all of the intentions of making this interview a revelation for West Ham fans, but in all actuality, it was anything but.
Take what was said and what has been written with a grain of salt. What we know so far is what we’ve known all alone; not much of anything. This game that is being played is already getting tiresome and not what is needed at West Ham. PAI Capital can undoubtedly make the club a better place, but without knowing at all, do you really want to take this gamble moving forward?
