Forwards full of potential

Yarmolenko

This season has felt like it’s his first season as a Hammer, and so far so good. Andriy Yarmolenko has stolen the show at times and his left foot is something hot dreams are made of. Don’t let his size full you either, because he has left defenders looking silly more than once.

Anderson

With the notoriety that Felipe Anderson brings to the squad comes expectations. However, maybe it’s a different skill that has been on display. That skill is one of a newfound defending ability. No, it’s not his job but he has done that facet of his game really well.

Haller

The record signing West Ham striker has come with a skill that wasn’t really showcased when he signed with the club this season. Sebastien Haller has an incredible holding ability and his way of taking on a defender are amazing, not all he needs is some help and look out!

Ajeti

Albian Ajeti is still coming into his own and honestly, we haven’t really gotten to see what he can offer to the club. However, his glimpses of hope he has shown an ability to know where to be and how to get the ball towards the net. More to come for sure.

Antonio

What is not to love about Michail Antonio? His flash, his drive, and his humor have if anything, given West Ham hope. Whether it has been as a sub or a starter, he has taken many a defender for a spin and has equally stopped the same defender from attacking the other way. Oh, and he is back soon!

As stated in the opening comments, life isn’t great as a West Ham player, fan, or back-office personnel at the moment but certain things have and can still be looked at optimistically. Whether it was funny or true, every player has some positive traits or abilities about them.

It might not be the first thing that we look for but sometimes looking at an individual’s signature trait can give anyone hope. If anything, use this break to remember the positives and get ready for Spurs next weekend with hopes that things will look refreshed and renewed.
