The hammers are currently on a terrible run of form, however, with Spurs coming to the London Stadium after a short break, it provides a huge opportunity for Manuel Pellegrini and West Ham.

Let’s face it, all things West Ham United seem to be pretty negative right now. Social Media is toxic, most fans are upset, and the manager is simply refusing to make changes to a system that clearly isn’t working. However, for any hardcore Irons fan, one simple thing can change the mood around the club in an instant. Beating Spurs.

Ah yes, beating Spurs. Nothing has personally brought me more joy as a West Ham fan when we beat Spurs. Something about seeing Spurs fans upset will make Hammers fans thrilled, and vice versa. This match always means a ton to both fan bases, and West Ham will need to play well to create some magic. This is a gigantic opportunity for the Hammers to turn their season around.

Would a win against Spurs mean top 6? Probably not, but for a fan base looking for anything to cheer about, beating Tottenham would be a huge morale booster for everything ‘Hammers’ at the moment. The squad needs to bring something to the table to give fans the confidence that things will eventually pan out. This season has been a disappointment so far, but this next match is huge for the confidence of the fans and the team.

With many line-up changes being rumored already, it could be time for David Martin to step into the West Ham United goal, taking the much-maligned Roberto’s place. Other potential rumors suggest Angelo Ogbonna and Arthur Masuaku could also return to the side, as Pellegrini will look to ignite the squad to get their first win in the month of November.

Regardless of your thoughts on the Irons and their season at the moment, there is one thing all Hammers fans can agree on. Beating Spurs. This will be one of West Ham’s biggest games of the season and Pellegrini needs to make sure that his players are ready for it. A loss could send the club spiraling even further down the table, however, a win could send the entire fan-base into jubilation and hopefully ignite some confidence in the fans and players. Let’s hope some key players can dig deep, and provide a performance that makes us proud to be fans of this great club.
