Green Street Hammers staff predict: West Ham away at AFC Bournemouth
The Vitality Stadium in Bournemouth is never an easy task and it won’t be tomorrow for West Ham either. With both clubs getting pushed out of the Carabao Cup, they will both have something to prove.
West Ham will travel to the south coast of England to take on AFC Bournemouth. A tough fought matchup ensues and we, the Green Street Hammers, have our say of the outcome. However, will our say be as positive coming off a 4-0 shellacking to Oxford just 3 days ago?

Prediction: Bournemouth 2 West Ham 3
The battle of the bumbling Premier League teams! West Ham and Bournemouth were both bounced from the Carabao Cup in embarrassing fashion, so I fully expect both teams to be aggressive in this match to regain momentum. West Ham has three straight Prem clean sheets on the line too, hopefully adding to the motivation to show up for this match.
3-2 suggests a boisterously offensive match. West Ham certainly has the players to carry this out, and so to do the Cherries. Ryan Fraser, Callum Wilson, Joshua King, and now Harry Wilson chipping in goals too. It should be a barn burner and hopefully, the Hammers can come out on top.

Prediction: Bournemouth 1 West Ham 1
The Hammers will look to bounce back from their disappointing 4-0 loss to Oxford. Bournemouth is an unfortunate game to have on Saturday as we are traditionally lackluster against them although I think the first team regulars will be able to get a result away from home. Keeping Wilson and King quiet will be tough although we can certainly test their defense with our plethora of attacking talent. I believe we will go behind but Haller will score to secure a point at the Vitality.

Prediction: Bournemouth 1 West Ham 2
West Ham will look to bounce back after a disappointing performance during the week in the Carabao Cup. After conceding four goals to Oxford, Diop and Ogbonna will get the Hammers back-line back on track. Haller and Yarmolenko score for West Ham, who keep their Premier League momentum up, and take all three points from the Cherries.

Prediction: Bournemouth 2 West Ham 3
The good feelings around West Ham United lasted all of three days after the 2-0 defeat of Manchester United turned into an embarrassing exit in the Carabao Cup 4 – 0 at the hands of Oxford United.

That effort and result put the pressure and the microscope squarely on the Hammers squad for this away tilt vs Bournemouth at Dean Court. Bournemouth can score, they can counter and they are tough at home. And depending on your view, they either catch WHU in the perfect spot or in the worst place possible. Until I see otherwise, I am going to go with the latter.
Even though 9 of the players in the League Cup Match likely won’t start here, the club still is going to have the attitude that they have something to prove. The pedal figures to go to the metal immediately at kickoff led by Captain Mark Noble who will be back in the Starting XI here, as will Angelo Ogbonna. When those two have started, the Irons are undefeated. Noble’s leadership alone will drag the side from the mire of Oxford into this match.
At this point, I am going to consider the League Cup exit an isolated bump in the road from Pellegrini’s men. West Ham 3-Bournemouth 2. If WHU comes out of this with a defeat, then we can say the sky is falling.

Prediction: Bournemouth 1 West Ham 1
West Ham has been about as West Ham as you could want over the past week, from the highs of taking down United to the crashing from the league cup to lower league opposition. And whilst I would like to think that professionals should be able to separate losses and move on, it could hit our momentum. Especially against a bogey team such as Bournemouth.
Both the Hammers and the Cherries have done well to start the season, and I think they will cancel each other out. However, I will say I have no confidence in this prediction because both sides have the potential to either score a lot or concede easily. This 1-1 could be 3-0 either way or a 5-4 classic. If the goals are scored early on…it could be a wild game.

Prediction: Bournemouth 1 West Ham 2
To sit here and tell you that the confidence I had after Manchester United is gone would be a lie. To sit here and say that I think will roll over the Cherries, however, is another thing. I do think my feelings do lie somewhere in between. This southerly trip will be rough for the lads but I do believe they will have just enough to get through.
This match is going to be one of those “faces in the palms of your hands” matches until somewhere around the 3/4 mark when the Hammers will find a way to prevail and get the 3 points needed and separate themselves a little further from the pack.
Even after a terrible cup performance just the other night, most of us at the GSH still have confidence, but do you? Let us know how you think this match will go and until then, COME ON YOU IRONS!
