No, not the Daft Punk song. There’s no point trying to deny it. Without a bit of luck the Hammers are not going to come away with any points on Sunday.
Whether that be a tiny deflection that takes it past a defender into Chicarito’s path, or the ball ricocheting off the post inches past the despairing follow up of Lukaku, West Ham need the ball to be kind to them at Old Trafford. If half chances keeping springing up for United, it’s not going to be fun.
So whilst we can play our heart out, and to the best of our abilities, luck will need to be on our side. We are not at the quality yet where an even match will fall our way. How can we be when United can spend more on one player than we can all transfer window? The playing field just isn’t level.
