West Ham are reportedly closing in on two of their striker targets after successful contract negotiations over the last few days seem to have concluded both deals.

This transfer window has been a bit of a roller coaster for West Ham fans after the initial high of the Chairmen promising a big striker would join the club followed by many weeks of speculation, deals supposedly getting done only to be rebuffed by many strikers seemingly at the final hurdle. Well, according to various reports, it seems as though the time of speculation is over.
Jonathan Calleri is set to sign on loan with an option to buy, subject to work permit, as confirmed last night by Jack Sullivan and also the ever reliable ExWhuEmployee on his new radio show. He is a similar mould to Lanzini and enjoys running with the ball, and the board are keen not to pay big money to someone who hasn’t proven themselves in the top European leagues.
Calleri has agreed to come however, it is subject to a work permit application in a weeks time.

He may not be the main striker signing but it is a sign that the board are looking to freshen up our attacking options and turn West Ham into a club constantly challenging for European places through the league.

The other big news is that it looks like Carlos Bacca could have finally agreed to sign for the club, after Sullivan again confirmed that the Colombian striker would inform West Ham of his decision regarding an improved contract offer in the next 48 hours.
Using 21st century methods West Ham fans have discovered that Carlos Bacca is currently on the move and seems to be removing his affiliation to AC Milan from social media. His Instagram post of “New Dreams, New goals” showing him obviously on a journey somewhere, whereas he has removed the AC Milan part of his Bio on Twitter.

If West Ham can pull of the Bacca signing it will help us immensely in picking up those extra points we missed out on last season, which was mostly down to the fact we were top of the chart for shots off target for last seasons Premier League. This was a massive area that needed to improve, and it looks as though to top people at West Ham have managed to work their magic.

The only issue here is that it might have a negative impact on our chances of signing Toulouse striker Wissam Ben Yedder, who is not going to come to the club if he’s competing with at least 3 other strikers for what is likely to be only one starting spot. If you had to pick two of the strikers to sign, who would it be?
If we can only sign two out of Ben Yedder, Calleri and Bacca which two would you like? RT when voted #WHUFC #COYI

We will also be bringing you another update later today regarding a new Right Back target that has cropped up in the press and is rumoured to be one of the surprise signings that were talked about earlier this week.
